#wanderingseouls DAY 49 OF 139 / Tosokchon x Gyeongbukgong

Sunday calls for a good touristy date with mummy, last weekend with her before she flies back to sunny Singapore ): Starting the morning right with the famous samgyetang (ginseng chicken) at Toksokchon! It's really popular especially among tourists so we reached at around 11 to avoid any queue for once :D

The restaurant is built with lots of rooms and patrons remove their shoes to enter and sit on the cushions on the floor. To be honest, I reallyyyyy hate such settings cos firstly, it's annoying to remove footwear and you get pins and needles after being in the same position for an extended period of time :/

BEHOLD THE BEST SAMGYETANG EVER! I haven't tasted much samgyetang to judge but this for sure is the best I've tasted so far, the broth is thick and consistent, the chicken is tender and stuffed with so much glutinous rice and yes, you can find ginseng in there. Hmmmm so good for S$18/bowl/pax, I'd gladly have it again :D

After a fulfilling lunch, we walked over to Gyeongbukgong nearby! My mum is a big fan on k-dramas and have watched countless historical dramas so she was really familiar with the settings in a palace haha. It's the main & largest palace built during the Joseon dynasty that have been restored over the years :)

It's quite fascinating to see the scenes that you often only see in pictures/dramas but I'm really glad to be born in a modern era since besides the beautiful architecture, life without technology is quite hard to imagine now that the world is so developed.

There were tons of tourists around but it can't stop me from some pictures :b

We headed to Anguk later for Samcheondong and Bukchon Hanok Village! Rested at a dessert place for matcha bingsu and redbean porridge! Gotta love matcha + redbean in Korea anywhere everywhere hehehe

Here's mummy at Bukchon Hanok as crowded as usual ._.

Headed back to Express Bus Terminal as mummy wanted to do more shopping but the truth is she bought nothing for her the entire trip (mainly cos the season isnt suitable for sg) and spent all on my autumn clothes :') sooooo loved hehhhh! A really short vlog for the day since I've filmed the other places before last time!
