We met the rest of the Singaporeans from the hostel this morning while we were having breakfast and decided to go to Kwang Jang Shi Jang together! It's a pretty popular place for tourist, if you watch Running Man, you'll probably know this place :) It's the first time heading out together with the guys so for once I didn't had to do the navigating much hehe
We walked to the food street and since all the stalls were selling the same things, we just randomly picked one and ordered almost everything each just to try!
Pig trotters, jokbal which has no meat, collagen also not alot :/
This acorn jelly thingy which I don't know the name, is really good and refreshing!
Drug kimbab! It's so tiny and addictive hehe
Soondae! It's essentially stuffed intestines but it taste pretty good, not as disgusting as it seems! I guess I'm someone that's not really picky with food and dares to eat such, but no I'm not greedy ok!
Bin dae ddeok, mung bean pancakes which is quite good!
The evil auntie charged us 31000won and I was like "DON'T PAY FIRST!!!", it's too wayyyy too expensive for just these? So we made her tell us the price and realised she counted wrongly, it should be 24000won wth that's a huge difference?!
Then we tried a bibbimbap (5000 won) which I really wanted to try! They mix barley with rice and gives doenjang soup along too, favourite meal of the day! :D The ahjumma was also nice to allow to sit and share a bowl since Korean culture don't promote sharing of food and they rather you not eat and order anything to share instead. What logic, can earn money you dont want uhhhhh
Thereafter, we left the market since there weren't much and the food was really expensive? We went to the Cheong Gye Cheon stream again since it was connected and walked a really longgggggg way to the main part of the stream. I guess we walked at least 3km and there were disgusting clusters of flies throughout yucks. Rested our feet soaking in the cool waters before taking a train to Dong Dae Mun.
We alighted at the Dong Dae Mun station and tried to find our way the the shopping part but it was nowhere in sight. Asked for directions and walked like mad before we finally found it, which is an MRT stop further. We should have stopped at the Dongdaemun history and culture centre stop! We do so much cardio everyday my soles are dyinggggg
Here's a treat for the tummy before the shopping at Mall APM since some of the other malls are closed for renovation. This is some spicy honey fried chicken with ddeokbokki, taste pretty good for 3000won!
Shopping was mediocre since everything are soooo overpriced >$30, but the fashion is pretty good sighpie :( We wanted to finish our food fund of 5000won before heading home so here's our J-cone (3000 won)and super good churros (2000 won) and off we went home for some ramyun + kimchi + rice dinner yumzzz.
Here's the vlog for today, longer with more shots, I'm trying to do a better job still, not used to the whole vlogging thing haha see you tomorrow!
