So, mamakwong came to visit me on Tuesday with wenmin's mum and I went to pick them up from Incheon Airport (fml a long 1.5h ride back and forth hahahaha). Spent the past few days shopping and it's finally a day of sightseeing as it's a Friday, school-less day woohooo and also a public holiday in Korea which prolly explains why everywhere is so freaking crowded. It's also a week of holidays for China so it's kinda annoying to see so many tourist everywhere ugh. I'm pretty adapted to not see myself as a tourist already I just realised as I'm typing this HAHA
Started the morning doing some shopping around our hostel, yay to daiso across the street hehehe. We went to the mart nearby and got greeted by this qt pup that I loveeeee so muchhh so fluffy!!! Miss my fluffy furball ahhhhh
Today is Myeongdong day, so it's all about skincare shopping and grab-all-the-freebies-you-can day :b Bought some skincare routine and had some random overpriced lunch - spicy beef stew; speaking of which my mum got so sick of red-looking food ever since she got here and can't adapt to the food in Korea hahaha. Thank goodness most of us are able to like Korean food and not get sick of it haha it's quite difficult to find non-red food in Korea
There's a pretty popular dog cafe in Myeongdong and we easily found it above the restaurant we had lunch at. The entrance is 8000won (~S$10) inclusive of a drink. All patrons are given a blanket and the tip is to put in on your lap and sit on the floor. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TOUCH THE DOGS. Then they'll slowly sniff the blanket and climb onto your lap for a nap if they like you. If not then too bad HAHA
It's quite pathetic to see how we humans fight for affection from these furballs but I'd gladly do so lolol. It's way better than the one I've been in Singapore since it's wayyyy more dogs and they don't avoid humans that much.
I managed to get 2 dogs (schnauzer and dachshund) for a lap-nap hehe
Check out the kings of the cafe so cuteeee
Next up is the Namsan Tower! I've been wanting to go to this place for a really long time since it's known to be really romantic for its love locks and all. We made our way to Namsan Oreumi for the elevator up the little slope where nightmare began. Queued at least 20-30min for our turn to take the elevator.
When we're up, we joined the queue to get the tickets for the cable car and it started far away from the building to the ticket counter on the first floor of the cable car building. After getting the tickets, we joined the queue to take the cable car and the queue actually extends 3 storeys up it's insane. Spent more than an hour stuck in the queue in the stuffy building as usual since, most indoor areas are not air-conditioned in the cold weather ughhhh
When we were finally up, it was almost sunset and I was so afraid to miss the sun but the view was uhmazingggg
Finally here with my mama at the not-so-romantic love lock bridge it's too damn overrated hahaha
I used to think it's romantic to lock your love like that, like memorable thing to do but not anymore haha. What's the point of locking your lock onto other people's lock? It feels abit wronggggg haha and the locks sold at the tower are overpriced too. If imma do that one day, I'll make sure I bring my own huge lock HAHA
Caught the pretty sunset woohoo the only thing worth the queue, but no i wouldn't do this again hahah
At least I still can have Kim Soo Hyun behind me?
Queued a little to take the cable car down and dinner at some random place again along Myeongdong before going home, very mediocre samgyetang bleh can't wait for the famous one that we gonna go soon
