It's finally TGIF when there's no school for most of us! Everland and Carribean Bay, 2 theme parks in Korea are having some promotion for foreigners this two weeks so there's no reason not to go! The prices are cut by more than 50% and it's awesome to go now in the Sunny warm weather before it turns too cold for outdoor activities.
Everland/Cabi is about 2h plus away from Seoul in Yong-In! Wm Sherri and I (Charissa is going with her friends next Wed) set off at 10am to Jamsil to take a bus (5700) to Everland Bus Terminal for a shuttle bus! The ride wasn't exactly dreadful since the seats were comfy and the journey only costed 2000KRW (S$2.50) unlike our previous trip to Boryeong which costed us a bomb. Drunk me (I felt completely recovered after puking) packed kimbab the night before and I guess it looked pretty decent considering I didn't have any wrapping equipments :b
Carribean Bay (Cabi) is the largest water park in Korea and I only got to know of its existence because of 2PM and SNSD hahaha! Years ago when I was still a kpop fan *oops my dark past hehe* I watched this video and really thought that this place is really pretty? You can watch it here to get a feel of how the theme park is like since I wasn't able to take much photos without my phone with me.
Here we are! Time to cool off the summer heat (it's technically the start of autumn alr lol)!
Changed and fully armoured with sunblock before we head for the fun!
We had tons of fun playing the crazy slides and I was brave enough to take some on my own too hehe! It's my first time at a water park HAHAHA okay I noob I know but I didn't know these slides could be such fun haha! I guess years back when I was younger, my heart wasnt strong enough to brave myself for some thrills :b
I spent an additional 6000KRW for rental of safety jacket. It wasn't compulsory but I felt insecure seeing almost everyone, even the big guys wearing them and I'm considered a weak swimmer since I haven't swam since I was 14 till the extent that I think I already forgot how to swim even though I do hold a bronze cert. It sounds ridiculous but I really think it's possible to forgot how to swim?
Haha anyway the life jacket wasn't really needed except for the high wave pool mehhhhhh :( But at least I bought myself security haha, it's a real pity we didn't take photos since we didn't have any waterproof bag which was selling at 20,000KRW (S$25)?! Many rides were also closed perhaps cos it was a non-peak but overall an enjoyable day with the girls!
On a side note, we experienced real culture shock at the showers where the women just showered in the public showers. It was the first time in my life getting to see so many nude bodies all at one go LOLOL. It's amazing how no one seems to be conscious that other people look at their bodies and they walk around comfortable and confident in their own skin. Of course the 3 of us are not liberal enough to follow suit so we just rinsed with our clothes on and changed :b
Had a great day Cabi despite getting a tone darker! :D Can't wait for Everland on Monday!
