#wanderingseouls DAY 11 & 12 OF 143 / 2D1N Trip to Boryeong

It's our first time travelling out of seoul, so I guess #wanderingseouls doesn't really apply. It's a trip planned by some of the Singaporeans from Rachel Livingtel so we decided to tag along on this short trip to Boryeong/Daecheon with a total of 14 Singaporeans mainly from NUS. It's well known for its beautiful beach and mud flat which is rich in minerals for cosmetic benefits.

We left house at 6am to Express Bus Terminal to catch a 7am bus to Boryeong. The bus ride was reeally expensive too, like KRW10,900 (S$13). We were so damn close to missing our bus cos we only managed to get our tickets at 6:55am and before boarding the bus, Wei Ning went to withdraw money and the bus left without her!! Thank goodness she managed to run after the bus which wasn't willing to wait for her just for a while grr ._.

The trip was about a 2-hour bus ride and the scenery along the way was pretty gorgeous. I took some shots in between my naps hehe so much greenery you'll never find in Singapore!

We finally reached the town, took a feeder bus into the city and found our 'HI PENSION' haha what a lovely name lolol. There're lots of pensions located nearby since it's a tourist destination, usually filled with lots of people at its annual mudflat festival in July but too bad we missed it ):

Just a gorgeous field of flowers beside our pension woohooo

The city is pretty quiet as it's a non-peak so you rarely see much people on the streets. The place surprisingly looked more urbanized than what I'd have expected, it being a town so far away from Seoul. The roads are so nicely paced that they looked prettier than many places in Seoul!

We spent another hour or so walking to the mudflat which looks something like picture below taken from the internet, except it's not as crowded and less inviting in real life. The journey there was super sunny and tiring so we were really hoping for a good time to catch some octopus/clams later on, only disappointed to realise we didn't really wanna enter the mudflat with our slippers cos everyone wore boots to the field and we had no equipments with us. Blehhhh were dreading our trip back (another hour) before all of us were lucky enough to hail 3 cabs subsequently thank God! The weather was scorching mid afternoon and we were all so dehydrated by then :/

We went back to our pension to slack abit before going to the beach just ahead of us! The beach was really chilly by 3pm and it's beautifulllll~ There were dandelions along the streets so we just plucked some but sadly it wasn't ready to be blown yet sobbles

With my favourite girls #shiokseumnida that makes any trips worthwhile! There were also lots of pretty little seashells on the seashore~~~

Finally had the best brand of banana milk heheh didn't get it back in Seoul cos it was slightly more expensive but heck, it's the most worthy milk everrrr

We went back to the pension in the evening for barbeque dinner with the rest and had an early lights out since we had such a longggg day since 5am. We woke up pretty early again the next day and decided to share our favourite hoddeok buns and banana milk #shiokseumnida and strolled along the  lovely beach again hehe

It was low tide in the morning so the shore was really gentle and super vast, loving it so much! It is so interesting to step on the shore knowing that it was still covered with fierce waves the afternoon before. Super romantic place to have a morning stroll with your bf hahaha

After we checked out of the pension at 12, we parted from the rest and decided to catch an earlier bus back to Seoul since the place was pretty boring. We ended getting tickets on a deluxe bus at KRW15,900 instead without realising and got back to Express Bus Terminal. Whenever we pass by the place, we just cant leave without doing any shopping so we ended up going one round and got some hauls again.

Dinner was back at Anam where our hostel is and Charissa brought us to a bbq place she had with buddies previously which was really good and cheap?! It's only 2min walk and costs KRW12,000 for 3 servings which we shared so one person is less than S$4. Can you believe it?! No up till now I still don't even... It's really good and the lettuce is perrrrfect. Topped up with a soybean soup for only S$1.20 hahaha love it. Gonna frequent this place I foresee hehehe

Short and chill trip for us, can't wait for the next trip with #shiokseumnida! :D
