#wanderingseouls DAY 22 OF 143 / Everland Theme Park

It's Chuseok; Korean Thanksgiving holiday from 07-09 Sep and school only starts on the 11th so it's almost an entire week of freedom! Sherri and I decided that we would be spending this holiday well at theme parks (after Carribean Bay) since most shops in Seoul are closed so there's nothing much to do. Furthermore, Everland is going at only 25,000KRW so there's no reason for not going! I realised it's my first theme park experience so I was really excited despite the long journey outta Seoul to Yongin.

We set off slightly earlier to catch the city bus to realise it was way more crowded than last friday when we went to Carribean Bay (which is beside Everland) most probably because it's a public holiday today. Putting our kiasu Singaporean traits to good use, chiong to get seats on bus since the ride is about 60-80min long!

When our bus reached the terminal, we were super shocked to see the overwhelming crowd. There were super lots of foreigners, as if all the foreigners in Korea crowded here just for the foreigners promo ._.

Tada~ A magical land of happiness in Everland!

Grabbed a map and off we go!

We skipped a scary looking spinning ride which isn't a good idea for a first ride and headed for this ride which also spins alot, you can see how it works in my vlog below. We figured it should be more manageable since there were alot of kids queueing for it #humji

The ride wasn't that bad, I pretty much enjoyed the feeling of lifting off my seats when it spinned at insanely high speed haha but kudos to those kids that are so brave to take any rides.

Next up, one of my favourite, viking! I still remember how I used to take some mini viking ship at a pasar malam when I was Primary 2 and I thought I was brave enough to take and enjoy it. It was so hilarious I remember my facial expression was stiff throughout the ride and I gripped the handle so tight LOLOL. My mum finds it such a joke even till now because I still put up a strong front the whole ride while I was chickening out in fact HAHA. Well, I'm all grown up now, able to conqueur a full size viking and really enjoying it this time!

Here's another roller coaster with lotsa of kids playing, no 360deg or deep plunges, but the path goes really sideways that you really have to hold on tightly for your life hahaha

This little Aesop Village is really cutely decorated with all the pretty cottages ah~

Annyeong! I'm a kitty meow~

Here's my travel buddy x bff on another kiddy ride to kill time :D

There was a really long queue with waiting time of 80min for this ride called Flumes, basically a roller coaster ride on water so it's really pretty cool. We finally decided to join the queue and the wait was b o r i n g. Thank goodness I'd say the ride was pretty damn worth it since the plunge was really deep and you can really get damn wet too haha. At the peak when I saw the plunge down I'm like oh no this is it am I gonna die lolol

First try at bumper car which isn't really fun and the car refuses to move in the direction I want it to :(

Then we walked to this garden which is out of this world. I guess that's how heaven looks like, except that it's gonna be way better floating on clouds and stuff heheh

Oh hey look, is that HV? Hahah it's a street filled with little food stalls that sells overpriced food but damn, the rosti chicken looked so freaking goodddd

After a few more attractions, we queued for the safari bus! One thing I love about Everland is that it's not boring at all? Like when you're tired/bored from the rides, you can go for a ride to visit the animals! It's perfect for me since I really love animals yayyyy

So the Chineese couple behind us apparently doesn't know what's a selfie stick and were very intrigued by mine. They communicated in Mandarin thinking that we wouldn't understand hahaha and side note, the lady loved intimacy with people? She just kept sticking behind Sherri the entire queue -.-

Finally on the safari bus! Tip, try to sit on the right side of the bus instead, you'll see more animals in proximity :(

Ohai you beautiful white kitties!

I'm the king of the world~

And then we reach the cutest animals everrrr GRIZZLY BEARRRRRRS! Prior to this I'd no idea the bears would be this adorable? They were trained to amazing commands. Apart from begging for food, they could respond to eating from the mouth or catching with their paws?! They were also able to sit/stand and follow the bus when instructed. The entire bus were fawning over these cutie little things, they seemed so harmless I wanna hug themmmmmm

Last ride for the day, I've seen this ride on TV shows a couple of times so it should be good :B

Fully covered ready to take on the water ride! The ride was enjoyable with little rushes here and there hehehe

Ending the day with a skyride back to the main gate oh so romantic hehe

This ends the day of Everland! It's a really great fulfilling day and I took so much videos that there wasn't sufficient memory at the end of the day. I really loved how the concept of the theme park combined rides and animals, super value for money! I'm paying almost the same price to go to River Safari which I didn't find fun at all? So I guess I really strongly recommend Everland (when it's on promotion) hahaha. Try to avoid on public holidays if you can though, hate the long queues and crowd. Humji us didn't try the 2 scariest roller coaster and horror maze (need to pay extra 5000krw) but I can't wait to go Lotte World next to conquer them all! :D

Bye Everland! Perhaps the next time I return, I would bring my kids here :b
