Pretty in Pastels

It's finally my turn to turn 21st (on 9th April) so like posted earlier on fb, I'm having a party on 6th April which is a Saturday. Months ago I've tried really hard to search for the perfect location but failed to do so, leaving me to Sultan Hotel which I've always wanted to book in case I couldn't find any alternative. It's only until earlier this year when it finally struck my that I should hold a party after all, and did the necessary arrangements immediately. 

Set up a fb event and here's my events photo muahahhahaha. 

It was nearing the super busy period for most of us so I wasn't really sure of attendance and was also worried that the room was not able to hold so many people all at once so I considered splitting into 2 timings which I later combined again lolol. This party happened in ways that I've never expected it to happen, way too good to be true, so beware, this's gonna be an ultra long picture heavy post! :D

First up, prep before the party!

Now the actual day, 6th April!

Was supposed to check in together with my group of minions that all couldn't make it early on that day ._. My uncle came to drive my mum and I over so went over to fetch Tyler tgt since he live nearby is the only minion that can make it early (even though he's still late as usual) and headed to Sultan Hotel before my mum went to collect the cake for me. 

Checked in with Tyler and started prepping the room. The room was the biggest of Sultan Hotel, Loft suite (2 storeys) with floral prints! Explains why my theme didn't involve floral cos it's gonna be really cluttered that way hehe. Went nearby to do some balloon shopping later to expose the surprise that the others are gonna get me balloons lollll.

Was doing my hair and stuff upstairs when JL and Evelyn came in secretly to surprise me with these hugeass 21st balloons! IT'S SUPER PRETTY!!! In fact, it's a secret wish of mine to own these after seeing pics of them on fb sometime ago but I've never told anyone about it! My dear Evelyn reads me so well :') This is just appetizer of surprise of the day lolol. Told ya the day was too awesome to be true ;)

Another decoration of the day was this #potd (the letters look horrible lol) which stands of polaroid of the day! I'm always mocked for my infamous #ootd so why not #potd since polaroids are gonna be my party favours! One of my favourite decos :D

Check out the pastel thread decors hehehe. Super cute animal circus polaroid stickers I've super lot of people asking me where to get them haha. Special thanks to my minion Evelyn for helping to stick these stickers painstakingly!

Finally my #ootd with my backdrop. Loving the dress from Editor's Market! Headband from H&M kids hehehehe.

Not forgetting foodddd that makes a party whole! Catering is from a zichar stall near my place which we always cater during CNY and surprisingly well liked by many! I didn't really get to eat though, only until midnight lol.

Another best part of the party is the desserts! I've super lovely friends I can't thank enough! Previously I briefly mentioned to Janelle that I would love to have cakepops on my birthday but didn't really expect her to really bake them for me since we're all so busy so I figured out she may have forgotten about it, but this sweet girl experimented banana choco lolllicakes (she named it herself lol) for me! Explains the floral painted styrohearts to poke the cakepops hehe. SO PRETTY!

Joanna also offered to bake cupcakes as party of her present for me. She just told me she's gonna bakc cupcakes for me the night before and poof! They're so awesome! Special thanks to my minion queen Jessica for getting the cupcake stand from Ikea for the the night before as well. Super cute pastel pink polka :b

Here comes another surprise planned by the Celtics classmates hehehe. Like suddenly Tyler just walked in from nowhere strumming a pink ukulele to me hehehe. They claim Tyler to be the present that comes together with the ukulele lol. Mad stirring with him for that night almost every single soul thought we're dating tskkkk. Anyway most of my birthday presents are from my wishlist so I love every single one of them! Gonna post some pics of the prez in subsequent post!

Time for cake cutting after waiting for everyone to be present. Floral ombre earl grey cake from Dolcevita.sg! Decors (heartings and butterfly) DIYed teehee. Really happy with the cake cos it's pretty, yumz, and cheap! Have quite a few friends asking for it already hahaha.

Sad to say pictures dont really do the cake justice, but it's really pretty imo!

With the absolute love of my life, mummyyyyyyyy :D I didn't invite my family over since the guestlist was enough to flood the entire room so I'm celebrating with them separately.

After cake cutting, it was really hot so I went to the washroom to tidy myself and got freaking locked inside by Charles. The surprise timing was so unplanned! (Y) Great job gaiz. When they finally let me out, they played the most touching video on the tv everrrrrrr :')

Watch it here! It's super funny in front hahaha. & the sweetest heartfelt messages for me, I freaking teared (I told them I wouldn't cos everyone warned me beforehand that I definitely would LOL).

Super touched by their efforts! To Tyler for filming and editing, and other actors that made this possible, I can't thank you guys enough. Super spoil market ttm lolol. You people are too awesome! Glad that my 2 closest cliques of uni, Exclusive and Ponies merged to make this happen. EXCLUNIES! (Y)

Next up, is an open mic I've been practising for, for quite abit. Like almost every other day if I've the chance, I'll try to go to Tyler's room to get his guitar to practise the songs since his is an acoustic and mine is a classical. Also played songs for JL and Eve to sing. I've a great bunch of talented friends hehehe.

Honestly speaking, this wasnt even close to my usual standard of singing because of the songs I've chosen, they're all dedicated specially to the certain group of people that likes the song etc. So despite them not being my best, I want to display my gratitude to them through songs since I'm not exactly good with words :')

& yep, this sorta marks the end of the party and I'm super thankful to each and everyone of you that made this party such a success. Those little surprises planned for me were super unexpected and I'm really impressed! Super touched and makes me wonder what have I done to deserve you guys in my life. To my amazing group of minions, you guys know the party would be impossible without any of you. Thank you so much! :) Shall finally end this super long post and continue my birthday post again next time! LOVE!
