This is one of the most happening day of the year to me - my first public performance! That's excluding my choir performances I had donkey years ago which doesn't really count since I'm hiding behind 13980943432 other choristers :p
This time, it's so different! Ever since I auditioned and got into Amplified in NUS at the start of the sem, we've been divided into bands for jamming to perform for the gig! It's not much of a big deal actually, except that I find this really meaningful since I've never jammed in my life and not to say lead a song in a band?
We've been practicing really hard within this 2 months, trying to perfect the arrangements for all 4 songs. & it's finally D-DAY!
We met up in school on a fine Sunday, YES SUNDAY (FML STILL GO SCH) to prepare all the equipments and waiting for the truck to transport us to Holland V. The truck is ultra big and there's this platform thing that can level up and down like a lift LOL. #cheapthrills

It feels adventurous on such a ride and I bet that's the coolest ride anyone can get around school teehee. It's mad windy and I look like siao zha bor by the time we reached HV. Look at cutie Yuko so chirpy on the ride!

Started to set up once we reached and other bands did soundcheck before beginning since we were running out of time. In the end, we were the only band that didn't have sound check which sucks 'cos I was freaking out over how I can hear myself on the monitor since both monitors failed us that day! D:
When other bands were sound checking, we were mad bored from waiting and standing around so the best thing to do? CAMWHORE :p
We were invited to perform for a flea at HV. Reality vs. Expectations lol. Hmmm. LOL but when the actual performance started, they arranged chairs instead so it wasn't as bad. Still, I wasn't as nervous anymore knowing that our audience are busy shopping and probably don't care much about what we were performing... ;b

By 6, the bands started performing and we were scheduled to perform around 7:30. I wasn't really expecting anyone to support besides my dear Evelyn because everyone is so caught up with work and I was okay with it since it's just a small gig. Little did I expect Justin to surprise me with his visit. Prior to that, he was still WA-ing me saying that he has to book in and couldn't support but wished me on the best. If there's one person that's really supportive of my singing 'career', it's gotta be Justin who claims to be my manager and even asked me to perform back in TP several times which I turned down because I was afraid to lol.
Forgot to take a good picture with him AGAIN. Damn #phail one. Anyway he brought daisies - Gerbera for me, which is my favourite flower! Wheee! I thought it's from Ikea at first, but they turned out to be fresh flowers which I only noticed later lol. Thanks bff for supporting even though you were in a rush to book in after my gig! :D Turned out he could only stay for my first 2 songs before he had to zao already.
Finally comes the nerve-wrecking moment! Before our turn, my hands were freezing, too nervous max! Weirdly after I got on the stage and held on to the mic, I wasn't nervous already. Even less nervous than my auditions LOL.

Since we've 3 vocalists, each of us led one song and shared the 2nd duet. I was really nervous since I was supposed to lead our first song and I start off without music, damn scared zaosia at the highest note!

Thanks Evelyn and Colin for photos spammage and I've got videos for all the songs now! I'd say we did our best despite of some glitches here and there, for a first time, it's quite good. At least we all enjoyed the performance and it's awesome!

To Tyler and Evelyn that's so supportive, love y'all madly. It's the time of the sem when everyone is so busy with work and yet they are willing to take time out to support me. They brought me roses too in my favourite coral colours! SUPER LOVE! Thanks darlings! :D
To Colin & Justin (who left early to book in), thank you for supporting in place of PaperPlanes that can't make it too! I realised the daisies Justin bought were fresh flowers only at the end of the performance LOL. Thanks for supporting!!! :D
It was actually quite embarrassing when Tyler presented the flowers to me and other Amplifites OOOOHHHH damn loud. Spoil market ttm Tyler! Furthermore, I'm the only one to receive flowers, and not 1 but 2!!! So proud LOL. Wasn't expecting all these so let me be bhb of my friends for a while ;p
Band picture without flash! These 6 other loves that I've worked with for the past months, too awesome. All of us with different backgrounds, from different faculties come together into a band with a common interest. & best of all, we're able to click so well with no conflicts that most other bands encounter (from what I've heard) or at least I think we'd the most fun out of a simple gig like that.

Thank you for the fun times we have had on jammings every wednesdays. Wednesdays are gonna get so empty without you gaizzz )': But I know we'll continue to jam and hopefully perform for more gigs later on! You guys are so accommodating and I know I've so much more to learn. I'm the only one out of all that did not jam in a band before so I'm really glad that all worked well :')
