It's the day of auditions and I'm hardly prepared. Just the night before, I was screaming like a crazy idiot at Zouk to support our dear pageant finalists. My voice was damn hoarse by then and I'm least prepared for the songs I was gonna sing for the auditions.
On top of Set fire to the rain that I was supposed to sing, I chose 千年之恋 by FIR as my 2nd song which is supposed to show my vocals. Oh well, I really had no idea what to choose and Shi Ting thought I pull that song well, so yea thanks babeee :)
I nearly chickened out as usual but thanks to motivation from my fellow Doraemons, I decided to give it a try anyway! Another Saturday spent in school again fml.
We were supposed to harmonize our assigned songs so we grouped up to practice first. Thank god harmonizing wasn't as hard as I thought. Everyone in the audition this round were even more pro. I thought I'd be very nervous like the 1st time but I wasn't at all! Surprisingly! I was able to sing at my usual standard and think my chinese song was very recognized by the coach :D Didn't expect I'd get in anyway because English songs really aren't my forte ): Met fellow biz mate Min Jia there during auditions so we head off together and sent her to bus stop before I met doraemons!
Met Tyler and JL who were at hall and we went vivo to meet Evelyn for short catch up before going home in the evening.
Got results at night and guess what! I'm officially a vocalist in Amplified! I really don't know how I managed to do it since I really don't sound good in English songs. Still, really happy to be able to have a chance to perform gigs for external events! Upcoming in Oct, can't wait!!! :D
