This is ironic isn't it? When we're young, we wanna doll up and wear heels to look mature and can't wait to grow old. & I think one of the reasons we wanted to become an adult back then was because we can make our own decisions to buy snacks and fast food to eat without parents' restrictions hahahaha. Well, I agree that it's still one of the perks of being an adult, but the responsibilities and stress that comes together with age, isn't as attractive.
But anyway, I can't stop the clock ticking so yeah, I'm aging okay lol. 20 years old, NO LONGER A TEEN. No longer seem legit to read teens/teenage mags (not tt i still read them, pun intended haha). And it's the weekend before my birthday so my beloved poly clique decides to celebrate for me in advance! Thanks PaperPlanes! Even though only half the clique manage to come, I'm still thankful for all the well wishes and gift :)
Decided on having a picnic at Marina Barrage. Weather definitely wasnt as it's best so I was really hesitating whether I should bring my bulky guitar baby out but in the end I still did haha. Went for some grocery shopping at Suntec Carrefour before we cabbed to Marina Barrage.
And it seems like bad luck follows whenever the trio (Colin, Joce & I) cab together. Sequel to previous cab incident (blog post dated 29Feb), we took a cab together again because no cab wants to take in all 5 of us despite the short journey. So we split and went in 2 groups. 1st cab thought we wanted to go MBS so realising it's a bad idea, we took our things back from the car boot and head to the next. This cab driver was saying the previous cab driver must be choosing passengers since Marina Barrage is so near, and it's hard to get pax there. So he drove us, AND THEN HE DONT KNOW HOW TO GO. Thanks ah, you don't know how to go then say! Still say other people purposely say don't know how to go. We ended up asking Alvan to give him directions through the phone. -.-
So we ended up reaching late and cab fare was obviously higher .___.
Unlucky incidents aside, there we go! Lugging all our food to find a great spot for picnic!
Thanks to Joce for borrowing a mat from her friend earlier, we managed to settle on a great spot and started snacking. Then the sky turned gloomy and poured. ZOMG. Why every year celebrate my birthday sure rain?! Last year we wanted to go USS after hours and plan was ruined cos it rained as well ):
& then we shifted, okay everyone shifted. Hahaha to downstairs! Spent quite a bit of time getting drenched to find a good spot to avoid the rain haha. & yeah, first time playing guitar in front of friends! Was rather nervous at first idk why, HAHAHA. Couldn't even play the chords properly at first lolol.
After my mini concert, I was presented with a cake as a reward! Hahaha! No la no concert, and it's avocado cake from eug's dad's bakery! Major yums one. It's not really a surprise since I already saw it since I met them and Joce went to borrow a lighter for it lol. But it's still pleasant because I actually told Joce not to get a cake, can save money. Still, thanks! Love it :D
Dear Joce really prepared alot for me *touched ('; Haha she brought her polaroid and took lots of films for me. Polaroid films how precious, i bu she de yong. Hahaha.
& TADA! My present! I actually guessed my present correctly. She told me it's something I can use, and I immediately asked her.. Voucher ah? And I actually thought that it should be from f21 hahaha. I'm someone that thinks voucher is a great gift for people so it is definitely awesome for me since I like f21 clothes! & the lovely card tt this sweet girl made. She's someone that will NOT do such handicrafts so this is super rare and precious :)
After the rain stopped, we shifted back up and it's already dark. Played guitar, uno and time really flies! Great great quality time spent before we head home.
