It's finally D-DAY! I'm blogging according to the dates of events so this post is for DAY ONE! 04 Oct, I set my foot on HK again! :D It's a 5d4n trip!

In case if you're wondering how I'm going to survive in hk, I'm considered half a Hongkee since my dad is from hk many many many years back. So yup, I can speak cantonese, not like super fluently but at least I'm able communicate in it and I have tons of close relatives in HK.

The last time I've been to HK is many freaking years back, so long ago that I can't even remember. Yes, it's that bad, so you should see why I wanna go back that badly. & of course, I wanted to make good use of my ID90 staff travel ticket to HK, which I actually paid really little considering I'm flying on CX.

As planned, I met Eileen early in the morning, like 6AM and her daddy drove us to the airport. Since I'm holding a standby ticket, I have to reach the check-in counter earlier in order to secure my seats. Good thing the flights I've chosen are fairly empty so I was more or less secured a seat. Great thing the check-in staffs recognised me and are damn niceeee. They even gave both of us priority baggage tages :D

Byeeee Singapore! See you in 4 days!
Since we reached the airport relatively early, we had plenty of time to walk around before heading to our gate, D44.

& finally, we boarded our CX710! Since flight load was quite light, we had 3 seats to ourselves!

Off we go to Hong Kong! 3+hr and I'll set foot on HK :D

Camwhore! Early in the morning so I had no makeup on lah, see me in my bare face >.<

Some pics of cabin and my breakfast! Food isn't awesome but I guess I couldnt expect much from plane food.

After watching some shows, napped a bit, I finally put on a bit of make up and released my hair from a bun so that I get some little curls which didn't last at all lolol.

TADA! Here we are! HKIA! Spot my hotpink Antler luggage! HKIA is rather big and imho, a little hard to navigate around so by the time we got to the belt which was quite far, I bet our luggage had been circling for a good few rounds. Thank goodness for priority baggage tags anw :D

Reunited with my dear luggage, covered with dirt and scratches T.T Look at my proud baggage tags teehee! Benefits of staff travel ♥

Upon arriving, my relatives, 'tourguide' for the trip was there to pick us up! (My cousin and aunt) They called for taxi earlier on and picked us up from the gate to our hotel, YWCA Anne Black. They also helped us to book the hotel at a special rates. The hotel was really basic, nothing luxurious due to its budget, but I couldnt ask for more. I really liked it :)

After settling down at our hotel, we headed out on a minibus to Mongkok (approx 8min ride). On the minibus, we met one angmoh that's asking for directions. So I asked my cousin for help and translated to her. Damn funny uh, tourist help tourist lol! Then she thanked me and said that my English was EXCELLENT! Lolol!
As we didn't really had a good meal on board, we headed for yumcha at this quite atas dim sum restaurant, Jade Garden. The restaurant is reallyyyyy big and nicely decorated.

Pigging away! Lotsa food ordered and it's heavenly!!!
Girls with satisfied tummies :D

Camwhore before leaving! With my aunt and pregnant cousin, Hazel! I'm really impressed at how much she could walk around with us without even complaining. Her baby is due next month and she is soooooo fit!!! I'm really super super thankful for them (':
After yumcha, we headed for SHOPPING! Fa yuen gai! It's definitely my favourite as I spent the most time there throughout my trip other than my hotel lolol. You can find good buys starting from HKD40. Considering I have a really good exchange rate of SGD1 = HKD6.4, it made shopping alot easier for me! It's a pity that winter clothes like lotsa knitted wears are starting to take over summer clothes but there are still plenty for me to shop nevertheless!
We also had gongcha there and they only serve large size. The best thing? It's even cheaper than SG! Like approx S$2 per large cup!

After some crazy shopping, we cabbed to Tsim Sha Tsui for dinz. FYI, cabbing in HK is ridiculously cheap, like the meter doesnt jump for super long and it normally starts at HKD18/20. There was once I cabbed from Mongkok to hotel and we only paid HKD20 lolol.

Anw, my relatives made reservations for a Michelin 1 Star Restaurant at TST iSquare, located at 30th floor so the view of the victoria harbour and symphony of lights was freaking super awesome I wanna cry already. I was soooo touched the minute I stepped out of the lift. Yes, the lift is dedicated to that entire restaurant which took up the whole level. IT'S THAT AWESOME. It's super atas and normally, to get a table near the sea view, one pax has to spend at least HKD500. Luckily for us, my aunt has a really close friend working there so it's an exception made.

There, I met my aunt's entire family and my cousin's son! You'll see him later. Food first. We had a lot, like cucumber with.. TRUFFLES! Duck, chicken, beef with.. FOIE GRAS! Lobster soup with rice crisp... Really alot lah cant remember already. AND THE FOOD IS SUPER DUPER NICE LAH! *Sheds tears of joy* My first try at a Michelin 1 Star rated fine dining restaurant, so mad awesome I can cry lor. The view so romantic somemore!

Look at our smiles! Smile until muscles pain also cannot stop, too happy already lolol!

Okay, there you have it! Introducing my super duper cute nephew Marquis! (He's my cousin's son so he's my nephew right? :/) And below a photo of us with my familyyyyy. Marquis is mad cute one, he only speaks canto so Eileen cant really communicate with him. He's damn shy at first but after a while, he got really close to me and kept wanting to take photos with me. Super love to camwhore one. And he whispered to my ears say "Lei hou leng!" Lemme translate... He meant... You're very pretty! HAHAHAHA HEART MELTS x1290817320938!!!
Me with the Shek family! My aunt 姑姐 and husband 姑丈 and 2 cousins, and Marquis! A pity the photo was off-focused.
After the super duper awesome dinner, we headed back to Mongkok for a little bit more of shopping at Argyle centre before the shops close and we head back to our hotel.

Day One is gone like that! But super happy lah. Hehe it's a really photo-heavy posts. This will continue for my posts to be continued for Day2-5, so stay tuned!!! :D
