Anyway, I shall blog about my Cathay Pacific Internship Interview on Wednesday. It was really scary because even though I've been through quite a lot of interviews, this one is the most formal and most important one so far. It'll determine my 6months internship and very much my Major Project grades too!
Cathay Pacific was the first internship to be offered to us this year. In normal cases, the lecturers will assign us accordingly to what suits us. & that is really scary because you wouldn't know what is in for you! Since CX is so prestigious, I reckoned it would be a good internship if I could get it. There isn't much internships that I know of, but I know that there are only a few that are more renowned, and CX has got to be one of them!
I applied by sending my resume right after the day Gary told about this internship interview. HAHA IKR kiasu ttm. :P Finally, I received the call on Monday to go for the interview as mentioned on previous post. Town office is at Bugis! As much as I would like to work at the airport, I know that the town office is much more convenient for me and Bugis Street, my favourite hangout is just across the road! :D
Teehee, met eugene and joce to go together. There were 10 candidates in total. There were overwhelming response so I'm really glad I scored an interview. They said they wanted more girls, and this is where I'm glad I'm a girl? Hahahaha.
We were supposed to do a round of self introduction and all, followed by a 5min presentation of any projects! I chose APADM :) Asked several questions about our aviation interests and went ahead for a short case study discussion in order to see how we participate. This interview was damn intensive! They called a few interns to talk to us and one of them was my senior from GM Choir!!! :D Feels great to see someone you know amidst of those adults you don't know! I would say CX staffs are really friendly and they really take good care of the interns!
To work at CX office at the airport, we have to go through a completely different interview. There's shift work for that too. Before we left, we were told that we'll get notified by that evening and where we weould be assigned. We were given chances to voice out our area of interest, and honestly speaking, idk!!! My initial aim was to get into marketing but this intern for marketing requires working in a call centre! Not what I expected hahhhaha. The manager said she think I suited the airport office where I would walk around to solve problems, sounds SUPER FUN!
Okay after so much talking, I think I should really get to the main point. I GOT IN!!! I'm one of the 5 candidates! ;) After discussion, they agreed to put me into marketing and sales, town office! Even though I'm really keen to go for the airport intern, I might not be able to secure the place since I need to compete with another 9 candidates again and by then, it means I need to give up my town office intern position. Furthermore, the manager that called me told me I suit this better. I think it's because she don't want me to risk losing this intern and also maybe because I'm quite good at talking? HAHHAHHA not self-praising but since I'm so talkative so I think I can fare pretty alright talking and talking LOL.
Idk lah, I'm just happy I secured an intern! Together with my darling Joce and also Eugene and Sharifah! Out of 5, I already know 4 of our class got in, inc. myself. Happy max :D Cathay Pacific Airways appearing on my resume sounds awesome no matter what!
I finally finished my cds portfolio after much procrastinating and digressing! Heading to meet gm clique for x`mas celebration and gift exchange! This week had been really busy for me! Didn't had a great chance to rest. Worked at Cedar Girls' bookshop yesterday too. There so many things I wanna do! I wanna go FEP to shop for my heels, go ktv and the list goes on...!
Side track abit, I think I'm all prepped up for this x`mas season. Not well done, but tada!
I've got a cute snowman, a candy cane, a x`mas tree, snow flakes and present on my nails! HAHAHHA.
Not exactly pretty but I'm happy I managed to draw sth related to x`mas hhahahha.
I know I've said this many times, but I want a konail nail plates set!!!!
